Sawgrass Marriott and Hilton Garden Inn Hotels

Hosting last year's State Championships showed that teams have a variety of motives for where they choose to stay while participating in the tournament:

• Stay as close to the fields as possible

• Spend as little money as possible

• Stay in a hotel that offers nice amenities

• Stay in a hotel that is near other attractions

Last year, the tournament was held during the 4th of July weekend.  That is usually a peak time for hotels on the First Coast.  We know the number of rooms allocated at the Sawgrass Marriott and Hilton Garden Inn was not sufficient for the demand.  This year, because the tournament is being held the week following the 4th of July, both hotels have nearly doubled their room allocations for our tournament teams.

Both hotels are just seven (7) miles from Davis Park and both have pools, beach, golf and spa access.  The Sawgrass Marriott has access to the beach via the Cabana Club and to the Tournament Players Club at Sawgrass.  There are plenty of restaurants either within walking distance or a very short drive.  The many attractions of St. Augustine are about 30 minutes away.

Pre-Register for either hotel

This year you will be able to pre-register even if your team hasn't yet qualified for the tournament.  This will give teams that like to plan ahead an opportunity to get into the queue ahead of time. 

Here's how this will work:

1. Identify a single team representative to make your pre-registration.

2. Have your team representative fill out the online Pre-Registration form - This will allow the hotels access to your contact information and the number and type of rooms you'd like to reserve.  This is called your team block.

3. A representative from your selected hotel will contact you to confirm your intentions.

4. You should call the hotel as soon as you know your team has qualified for the Florida State Championships.

5. If the hotel has not heard from you by the evening of the last day of your District tournament, they will call you to either confirm or release your "reservation."

6. There is no cost or obligation for your team to do a pre-registration - This is simply a new way for the hotels to identify demand as soon as possible.

Confirmation Page Instructions

Please print the confirmation for your records.  Remember, this is not a hotel reservation.   

You must contact the hotel as soon as you know your team has qualified to play.  A representative from your selected hotel will contact you if they've not heard from you by the evening of the last day of your District tournament.  This will be done to either confirm or release your "reservation."

If you know for sure that you are participating in the tournament, you can make a reservation right now.  This includes all 6U & 8U teams, since, for them, the Florida State Championships is an invitational tournament, or any 10U, 12U, 14U, or 16U teams that have qualified by finishing in first or second place in their District tournament.  Use the contact information below to contact the hotel of your choice.
